Stuart Wooldridge Fisheries Biologist for the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission has announced the commencement of the Lake Ouachita Creel Survey for the next 3 years. Anglers will be interviewed at various access points.
Chris Lowery of the AG&FC is the commission
personal that will handle the interviews set to begin December 1st. If you
meet him at a Lake Ouachita boat ramp be sure to assist him with your catch
data.
Also, you’ll begin seeing a yellow Cessna 172 or a red & white Cessna 152
flying over the lake counting anglers.
Mark Oliver Chief of the fisheries division of the AGFC says the Creel Survey
is one of the elements of the
Lake Ouachita fisheries management plan that
will help the AG&FC better understand and improve the fishing is on the
lake.
