Lake Ouachita - High Water Marks

 

Lake Ouachita water level in January of 2007 started normal enough, right at the pool level of 578'. Then starting in the early hours of Saturday, Jan. 13 a front that had stalled out began to open its doors over the Lake Ouachita drainage area of 1105 sq. miles.

The Big Lady started doing her job once again, originally build for flood control she begin to drink up the run off.

Holding the water in her massive confines and saving down stream homes, Farms and Towns from devastating flooding.

From Jan. 1971 thru December 1980 -  June 10, 1974 -   Crested @ 584.6
