Bridge Over Lake Ouachita?

Update May 2011: bridge project has all but been scraped.

Yes there is talk about a possible suspension bridge being constructed over Lake Ouachita on the Lake Ouachita Vista Trail that will span the Crystal Chute by approximately 500ft., which is estimated to cost $2.6M. At this time no funding is available.

The Minutes for the Lake Ouachita Citizen Focus Committee (LOCFC) DATE: 13 November 2006 reports Rep. Ross wanted to know what the total cost in dollars would be to complete the trail and the suspension bridge.

Al Gathright said State Representative Mike Ross is very interested in helping get the trail funded and completed which would include the bridge.
